'Bridesmaids' soundtrack features something for everyone

The Bridesmaids soundtrack is a great addition to the movie. The songs are upbeat, catchy, and great to sing along to or just dance around to. The exception of this is "It's Raining" by Inara George, but her sultry vocals are so good that you'll find yourself listening to this song just to be enchanted by her voice.

With the recent passing of "The King of Pop," CD sales have been skyrocketing for Michael Jackson's music. One of the most popular albums over the past month has been "The Essential Michael Jackson," probably because of the wonderful compilation of the music he shared with the world. The late Michael Jackson may be gone, but his music will always be around as a tribute to his genius.

If you have been a Michael Jackson fan since his early career or just his work later in life, this variety of his music is a great purchase.

Dark Was the Night is a two-disc compilation album, released by the Red Hot Organization to raise money for AIDS research.

"So Far Around the Bend" by the National, is a great track. The combination of Matt Berninger's deep, almost monotone voice, and the composition and arrangement of Nico Muhly make this an excellent song.

Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner team up on the song, "Big Red Machine." This song has a classical feel to it, while still sounding rather modern.

The latest release from New York-based Putumayo World Music plays much like its myriad other compilations. Putumayo specializes in grooving, laid-back samplings of musical cultures typically less explored by mainstream music consumers. And on its latest compilation, India, the label shows no signs of slowing down.

India takes the majority of its tracks from the popular Indian Bollywood film industry. Arguably the biggest name on the list is popular composer A. R. Rahman, who recently scored the film, Slumdog Millionaire.

Keeps Gettin' Better - A Decade of Hits

Five time Grammy Award winning Christina Aguilera has released an album to display how she got those. Keeps Gettin' Better - A Decade of Hits is a decently made greatest hits album. One can't even imagine that Aguilera first showed up ten years ago with the song, "Reflection," for Disney's Mulan. The album shows a lot of growth in Aguilera, from her vocals, to her writing style. Aguilera picked some of the best tracks and included four tracks that show her next direction.

There are a slew of tracks that are absent on the U.S. album.

Classic Disney: Volume One

Every now and then, I yearn for the good ole days back when recess was the most exciting time of the day, and Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network were the channels to watch. I get even more nostalgic as I recall classic Disney movies like Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid.
