Jason Derulo's 'Breathing'

Jason Derulo’s song “Breathing” is an epic addition to the dance music that is so commonly played on the radio nowadays.

Derulo brings international influence to his music along, with the familiar tribal chants from V.A.S.T.’s song “Touched” from 1998.

The song is a bit calming, but still upbeat and dance worthy. Derulo’s voice soars as it serenades countless girls oozing over Derulo’s handsome looks.

‘Electric Love’ by Dirty Vegas

In case you didn’t know, Dirty Vegas is one of the hottest bands out there in regards to dance music. Their new album, Electric Love, is keeping that reputation alive.

'Born This Way'

Artist:
Lady Gaga

When I started listening to Lady Gaga’s new album, Born This Way, I didn’t have the highest of hopes, as I was slightly disappointed by her last release in that many songs were derived from a similar formula. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the latest album, due out at the end of the month.

The opening two tracks on the record were the usual Gaga style, ready made for clubs and bars with sweaty bodies pulsating to the unrelenting, overly amped low end. The thid track, "Government Hooker", threw me a welcome curveball, and instantly changed my mind.

Until One

Artist:
Swedish House Mafia

Forget snowpocalypse. Swedish House Mafia is here and it already feels like a sweltering hot summer on Ibiza.

Until One is SHM's debut album and it's a whopper: 24 tracks of some of the best house music in years. It's no wonder these guys are huge in clubs from as close as Miami and New York and far as away as Ibiza and London.

The trio of DJs offer up some dance classics like "Show Me Love" and Daft Punk's "One More Time." Pharrell Williams lends his voice on the albums first single "One."

Don't be surprised if you hear this album at New Years Eve parties everywhere.

Bright Like Neon Love

Artist:
Cut Copy

Put on your dancing shoes! Cut Copy is probably the most toe-tapping group of hipsters who have ever emerged from the land down under. Composed of three young musicians who play as an ordinary band with a heavy keyboard influence, Australia's Cut Copy originally started as vocalist Dan Whitford's attempt at making music that appealed to his interests as a DJ. Whitford is also a graphic artist and the cover of their first LP is quite a testament to his skills.

Pretty Mess

Artist:
Erika Jayne

Pretty Mess is dance-pop singer Erika Jayne's debut album. She appropriately compares herself to Madonna. You can definitely see the connection, particularly from some of Madonna's more recent music. The opening track, "Stars," displays this style the best. There isn't huge range in her vocals, but there rarely is with the prevalent electronic sounds that dominate the CD.

Majority of the songs are very upbeat and full of energy, nothing less than what you would expect from a dance-centric album.
