Runner Runner album review

Artist:
Runner Runner

American pop rock band Runner Runner may have released their first self-titled album last year, however, the relevancy is still there.

The songs display emotions that we have all felt, but may have been unable to share ourselves in such a medium.

The album has the ability and melody that will be able to stand up to the passage of time, as the songs are very relatable. It is definitely not the greatest album of all time, but it has songs and hooks that can meld with the feelings that people can match up to.

Taylor Swift 'Ours' Music Video Review

Artist:
Taylor Swift

It is hard to picture Taylor Swift not looking like her dazzling self, but in the new music video for “Ours,” the singer looks like a normal young adult. Audiences are used to seeing Swift look like the country music superstar she is but in the video Swift changes her appearance in order to match the music video storyline. Swift opens the video with herself heading to a normal 9-5 job. She enters into a crowded elevator and starts to sing. Swift is known for her ability to tell a story in her music videos and “Ours,” sticks to that template.

The Kooks: Junk of the Heart album review

Artist:
The Kooks
The band keeps things nice and familiar on their new album.

English four-piece The Kooks' third full length, Junk of the Heart, will probably divide listeners into three categories.

Those that love it will do so for the very catchy melodies, the even pace, the variety within the 1960s/1990s Britpop sound ("Time Above the Earth" is a short track with nothing but a string quartet and Luke Prichard's vocals, the relatively intimate-sounding "Petulia" prominently features finger-picked guitar, "Is It Me" has one foot in electro/dance music..., and Luke's musings on love from various angles.

Nat and Alex ‘Black Sheep’ Review

Artist:
Nat and Alex

Nat and Alex Wolff are also known The Silver Boulders and The Naked Brothers Band, but now the siblings have released their new album, “Black Sheep.”

Nat and Alex are trying to be more mature and the album tries to take on a very different direction then that of the bands previous pop rock songs of the past.

'Time-Bomb' by All Time Low review

Artist:
All Time Low

Most people believe that the top 40 pop punk music scene died when Fall Out Boy broke up but no one mentioned this news to All Time Low. All Time Low has released their new single, “Time-Bomb,” and has blown fans and listeners away with their musical evolution that has taken place. All Time Low always had catchy lyrics and pop punk guitar rifts, but “Time-Bomb,” is presenting the band in a new light, the lyrics are still catchy but the guitar solos are more intense, more electric and the overall sound has matured tremendously since the band’s last album, Dirty Work.

Brandon Schott's '13 Satellites'

Artist:
Brandon Schott

Brandon Schott’s 4th record, 13 Satellites, released back in October, is a look into the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter’s musical stance after his 2009 post-cancer reflective celebratory record, Dandelion, that tried to capture all that Brandon and his family had to go through. Like his previous album, 13 Satellites is a collection of songs that manages to premiere Brandon’s eclectic talent through the lens of an innocent and childlike wonder.

Louis Landon's 'Reality Not Fantasy' album

Artist:
Louis Landon

The 11-track album, Reality Not Fantasy, is the product of one talented pianist named Louis Landon. This pianist takes on an entirely new style compared to his previous albums by taking the role of pianist, singer, and melodica player on this album.

The songs on this album are extremely habit-forming. Seeing as how Landon started playing music at the age of 5, it really should not be a surprise that this album is this good. The songs are so full of life and show the emotions everyone feels at one point in his or her life.
