Now I'm ready to travel.

I fly for business at least every three weeks and my laptop bag has certainly begun to look like hell. My "mobile office" is an embarrassment to say the least!

First, I picked up a Kensington Contour Roller which essentially looks like a briefcase which is bent in the middle. That description might be terrible, but it's accurate. It's bent in an ergonomic way, and has a bent handle that pops up which they say makes it quite easy to pull around town. This is true.

Basically, the Contour Roller is a neurotic traveler's dream.

A cute little printer than can fit right in your hotel room.

The concept of a photoprinter is interesting and has some major advantages and some disadvantages. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but I'll cover both.

First, the advantageous. It's relatively portable and can read memory cards. This is a dream come true for any traveler as you can run this in your hotel room and just pop in the memory card. It weights only a pound and has a cute little handle.

Also, and most important, the quality of the photos is outstanding. The quality is 5760 x 1440, and the pictures come out as good as I've seen in a photolab.

Travel is made a little bit easier.

For the discerning laptop on the go, Kensington made a few new devices just to make life a little bit easier.

To start the ball rolling, where will you plug in? In the past I've used a little bag with small nobules that I had to attach to the plug here and there. Now this little Kensington adapter basically pops out like a switchblade, so it's all compact and attached. Just flip a button and out comes the appropriate plug you need. It is easily the simplest and most efficient adapter we've yet seen.

Who knew that printing labels could be so addictive?

While my fiance' Michael seems to feel that labeling everything is a bit over compulsive and "anal", it makes me happy. The sense of organization is slightly akin to the happiness I feel when I eat chocolate or get flowers. Okay, not that happy, but there is a distinct sense of clean.

I am the type that loves to label. I label food that I froze. I label boxes in the closet. I label drawers.

I.R.I.S. has come into the scanning market with two different products that they hope will help your business.

The first device is the I.R.I.S. Business Card Reader II, which as the name implies, scans your business cards. It took a few minutes to install, but after that it's pretty simple. You load the software, press a button and scan away. The recognition was perfect for 'standard' cards, but anything elaborate isn't as good.
