Archeological students get more than just an experience of digging up the past on an excavation trip to France. They actually find themselves living in the 14th century and must cross back into their own era to survive. This science fiction thriller drama is certainly a tale of leaving the past in the past or you find yourself living in it.

Worth the wait

The long-awaited Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 is now in theaters, and I agree with the majority that this finale to J. K. Rowling's epic coming of age story of wizardry proved to be worth the wait.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint reprise their respective roles as Harry and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley for the eighth time in 10 years. By this time, they have become as endearing a trio as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo.

Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two

Thursday night as the clock struck midnight, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II premiered in theaters across the country, and with it came the beginning of the end of the famous franchise. As someone who grew up devouring each of the 700-800 page books I have to say that the walking into the movie theater last night was a bittersweet experience. Was the movie great? The reader’s digest version of that answer is, yes. As someone who was in a secret Harry Potter club in elementary school though, I am probably a little bit biased.

Ghost Rider and Hellboy unite to destroy witches, demons, and their credibility as actors in an effort to stop the Black Plague in 14th century Europe. Behmen (Nic Cage) and Felson (Ron Perlman) are crusaders with a conscience who have grown tired and wary of the Church’s motives and methods for reclaiming the Holy Land. After being ordered to storm a fortress, Behmen accidentally slays an innocent woman in a chaotic melee. Behmen, despite killing thousands prior to this incident, is disturbed by the death of the latest victim.

‘Red Riding Hood’ Review

I knew that Red Riding Hood was receiving countless negative reviews, but that did not deter me from seeing it. I’ve wanted to see the movie ever since I saw the trailer that included the Nine Inch Nails hit “The Hand That Feeds.” I thought, “If Trent Reznor will allow his music to grace this movie trailer, then it must be good.”

If you’re looking for an awesome, action-packed movie to see, Tron: Legacy is not it. Though the movie does indeed boast impressive visual effects, the storyline and acting in the film takes away from the overall effect.

The latest Tim Burton film is sure to please with its wackiness.

Alice in Wonderland is one cooky, eccentric movie that is fun for the whole family. The film reflects the unique perception of its director, Tim Burton, who has produced such hits as Sleepy Hollow and most notably Nightmare before Christmas.

The story centers on 19-year-old Alice Kingsley, brilliantly portrayed by newcomer Mia Wasikowska. Independent and free thinking, she runs away from a marriage proposal and falls down a rabbit hole, where she enters Wonderland, which she had dreamed of as a little girl.
