- The king of bluegrass, Bill Monroe, influenced countless country artists today. There is nothing revealing, scandalous or radical on this tribute, but a good, honest tribute to Bill Monroe. Some tribute records have interpretations of the songs, which are so far off the mark that they sound nothing like the original artist. In this case, they pay tribute to Bill by playing in his style with a slight influence of their own.
