Arturo Sandoval - Trumpet Evolution
- We love Arturo here... I mean after all, my boss Dominick interviewed him! Anyway, this album is probably his most brilliant. As the name implies, it's the evolution of the trumpet. It starts off with tributes to Louis Armstrong and works up to tributes to Wynton Marsalis. All along the way it documents the twists and turns the history of the trumpet has taken. This is the kind of CD which gives you more appreciation and understanding of what the trumpet is all about! A true masterpiece!
