Dolly Parton - For God & Country
- Dolly hits home. She sings all of the patriotic songs you know and love in her uniquely "Dolly" style. The songs aren't sung in a completely "country" manor, but are sung with Dolly's country lilt over a traditional musical background. For example, the song, "Green Beret," sounds as if it's played by a choir you can hear in any city across the country, but with Dolly's unique vocals.
On the cover, Dolly is dressed in an outfit remeniscent of the Andrew Sisters or a soldier's 1950s pin-up doll. It's probably one the best albums we've heard of patriotic songs in quite some time.
