David Newman - Ice Age
- David Newman's enjoyable score to the 2002 hit "Ice Age" is well worth listening. Newman is able to avoid the usual comedy scoring cliches and write a score using a large orchestral sound with lots of rhythmic energy. It goes beyond hitting everything on screen and has great themes. Baby's "Wild Ride" is an exciting piece not to be missed. If Newman can get away from scoring films like "Doctor Dolittle 2" and keep getting projects like this, it will be a real treat.
