Carter Burwell's score album to "A Knight's Tale" was a nice addition to soundtracks in 2001. The music is thematic and moving and should not be overlooked in this film that mostly featured classic rock songs. The filmmakers did a wonderful thing by letting Burwell bring a fresh aproach while keeping that mystical sound of knights and chivalry. The score is a wild mix too with electric guitars moving in and out of choral passages. There is a rousing theme for the jousting scenes and a main theme that is among Burwell's best.
