John Williams - The Patriot
- A moving score with one of Williams' finest themes. This score for Roland Emmerich's summer film of 2000 is full of big symphonic Coplandesque Americana. The tracks "The Colonial Cause" and "Ann and Gabriel" are worth the purchase of this CD alone. There is a lonely trumpet theme for Mel Gibson's haunting memories of the French and Indian War and menacing low brass for the evil Redcoat Tavington. This album is well recommended and you won't be able to forget Mark O'Connor's wonderful violin solos on the love theme.
