Ari Hest - Someone To Tell
- First was Dave Matthews, then John Mayer, now everybody loves singer-songwriters. I could repeat the first two names and tell the story of how an artist went from an indie release to a major label. Now Ari Hest has done the same. He’s along the same lines as the others but a little different. He’s a bit more acoustic, and a bit more gravelly. His songs have a flair that’s a bit more pop but then again a bit sadder and more "realistic." While John talks about turning 20something, Ari’s halfway through it and coming from a slightly different perspective.
