Kittie - Until the End
- At times, people have complained that some all-female rock bands sound, well, "girlie." As if rock is it’s own genre, and then there’s "fem rock." Kittie breaks the mold in that sense. The lead vocals are so screeching and loud, if you didn’t know it was a female band you’d never guess it. Now, mind you, I’m not much of a thrash-metal fan, but I see no difference between this and Slipknot's most insane work. It might sound odd to say, especially from a girl, but Kittie sounds like they can match wits with the other rock bands, and not at all sound like "fem rock."
