Ben Arnold - Calico
- I admit that my first thought was, "Who the hell is Ben Arnold, and please don’t let him be just another singer/songwriter."

You can tell with that kind of introduction that I would be happily surprised. Take a little of that popular singer/songwriter phase, but add in a Van Morrison slightly gravely voice and you have Ben Arnold. One of the easiest ways I can judge if I love an album, is if I listen to every track, the whole way through. In this case, I actually left it on repeat and barely got to the other CDs.

It’s a bit hard to describe, but the music belongs on a soundtrack for an indie film about growing up somewhere. It’s a soundtrack to life. Perfectly well crafted.
