Queen Latifah - Dana Owens Album
- Queen Latifah is the Queen not because of a skill in one area or another, but her ability to show her talents throughout a number of areas. She started as a rapper, converted herself to a TV actress. Then wait, she’s not done, out comes a movie actress, a model, and well, a few dozen other things. She’s not done. Maybe she’s slowly dropping the Queen and becoming herself or maybe it’s just another stage, but Queen Latifah’s "The Dana Owens Album" shows that the Queen reigns as a crooner too.

Maybe it was her work in "Chicago" but if you heard this album you would never guess that this is the same Queen Latifah who used to rap. You’d guess that this is a jazz artist through and through. Maybe that’s the trick here though. She is all of these things and this album is just showing that she can push the envelope...and succeed.
