One of the greatest film scores of the 1990s is "Total Recall." Jerry Goldsmith wrote one of the busiest scores of his career, once stating that the score had more notes in it than a Bruckner symphony. This score is a marvel from the first track to the last. Many cues contain a hard edge and dissonant sound in the orchestration. The music is as violent as the film itself and Goldsmith's approach to the action is breathtaking. The music never lets up it's fast pace and is a fantastic thrill ride. This Varese Sarabande release, complete with expanded cues and extra music, is highly recommended.
