Gwen Stefani
Love.Angel.Music.Baby.

Gwen Stefani is one of the most innovative artists of our time, and her solo album does her reputation justice. On Love.Angel.Music.Baby, she puts New Wave, Dance Hall and Hip Hop into one big melting pot of great dance music.

Her first single, "What You Waiting For?" is an electronic dance trip, just as original as Gwen herself. From its thumping beat to Gwen's signature vocals, the song is a hit. The stylish fashion plate even gives props to her Japanese fans for a "wicked" sense of style.

"Rich Girl," the second single, is an ingenious dance hall style re-make of Fiddler on the Roof's "If I Were a Rich Man," produced by Dr. Dre. On the track, Gwen teams up once again with rapper Eve to create yet another chart topper.

If nothing else, Love.Angel.Music.Baby showcases Gwen's versatility as an artist. Songs like "Cool" and "Serious," take listeners on a trip back to the 80's. Parts of the record sound as if they were lifted straight from the "Pretty in Pink" soundtrack. On the flip side, "Luxurious," a sultry song set to The Isley Brother's "Between the Sheets," gives the disc a splash of R&B.

This album shows why the world fell in love with Gwen Stefani in the first place. She's unique and full of surprises. Needless to say, Love.Angel.Music.Baby is money well spent.
