Carlos Del Junco - Blues Mongrel
- It’s an unusual blues album as it sounds like traditional blues, but with a slight leaning, well, elsewhere. At times, I hear a slight latin influence and other times there is a slight country influence. Throughout, you have the blues with Carlos’s harmonica giving a nice common thread. When he plays the harmonica, he’s also makes the sound bend a bit to where it sounds like a sax or another wind instrument. Overall, it’s a straight blues album with something different.
