- There was a time before American Idol where singers didn’t need people like Simon to tell them they were good. Yes, with the recent movie there is quite a degree of hype about Bobby Darin. However, this CD shows that the hype is justified. It’s Bobby singing live, and not only singing his well-known songs like, Mack The Knife, but also covers of The Beatles, James Taylor and others. Overall, it showcases Darin as the masterful singer he was.
