Various - Beatles Regrooved
- In a way, it sounds odd turning Beatles songs into Electronica. However, The Beatles original version of “Tomorrow Never Knows” sounds a bit existentialist and electronica to me. Anyway, at times these interpretations are brilliant, while other times they admittedly caused me great emotional pain and stress. Songs like, “Blackbird” by EROS and “Two of US” by skylab2000 were brilliant. They were true to the original melody but took the song to a completely different place. “Come Together” by Azade Abi and Holmes Ives started off a bit too strange for my taste but came around to be a great version. Overall, it’s worth a buy and a listen, but don’t expect to fall in love with all of the tracks.
