Daniel Benzali - Benzali
- Daniel Benzali is know for appearing in TV’s “Murder One” and “NYPD Blue” but now he’s stretching his hand out to try music. For an interesting twist, he’s basically taken showtunes and mixed in his love of his birthplace Rio de Janerio. At times, the result works quite well as in “My Funny Valentine” and “Under My Skin” both of which have a great jazzy bounce underneath. Other times it takes the song to another place which some in the office found odd, others loved. “Soon it’s Going to Rain” from the Fantastiks, which seems almost too bouncy and happy as compared to the original. Overall, it’s a nice slight tangent from the regular Broadway/Showtune type of album.
