Hot Karl - The Great Escape
- A Vanilla Ice wannabe with a look bordering on Queer Eye, Hot Karl, the white rapper from suburban California, has released his new CD, The Great Escape. Described as the “bastard child of hip-hop,” we have to wonder why he is described as such. Maybe because the Hip-hop genre has better sense than to claim him as their own? With beats and rhymes that would be more at home back in the day of Fresh Prince and boom boxes on the shoulder actually being cool, Hot Karl freestyles about everything that comes to his mind. Not too bad at making the rhymes work, his music will please those who like the old school hip-hop. An upbeat attempt at replacing Eminem as the only white rapper, we’ll have to wait and see what he comes out with next.
