Blue Rodeo - Are You Ready
- Like many American kids, I spent my summers at sleep-away camp. During those two months there were no worries, just fun. Even if you didn’t go to camp, Blue Rodeo’s "Are You Ready" will take you back to those laid-back days of summer.
If you’ve ever borrowed your parent’s albums, you’ll hear the echoes of 60s folk rock in this album. Tracks such as, “Don’t Get Angry,” owe some thanks to the musicians of that era. However, don’t dismiss Blue Rodeo as just another neo-hippy band, as this one has a sound all its own.
"Are You Ready" is for anyone who enjoys the moments when you can relax and listen to your favorite music. You may find yourself listening to this album, perhaps on a long drive, escaping the everyday responsibility.
