Carlos Guitarlos - Hell Can Wait
- Carlos Guitarlos, the former street musician, shares his deep soulful voice in the album “Hell Can Wait.” The country-jazz mix meets simple blues lyrics to create a light-hearted listening experience.
The cd is packed with nineteen tracks of upbeat honky-tonk songs that can be compared to the original sounds of Carlos Santana and the Squirrel Nut Zippers. The themes of the blues songs center on “getting out,” “being lonely,” and “death.” The cd reflects upon life, and death. The song “My Old Dead Body,” is about the will to live, despite age.
Carlos Guitarlos’ jagged voice reminds his listeners that he has a lot to sing about, and that Hell will have to wait for his arrival.
