Illbreak - Flood
- The soft sounds of lead singer, Gareth Asher, carry Illbreak’s haunting sound through their album “Flood,” which is set for release in stores September 1.

The band can be placed next to bands such as Live, Breaking Benjamin, Deaftones, and Staind, who have similar sounds. The vocals sound more like a cross between Athaneum and Three Doors Down, nevertheless, a good thing.

The cd includes ten tracks, showing the band’s talent in creating an album in which every track is enjoyable. With “Flood” being Illbreak’s first album, I am sure that another one will appear because the music is so brilliantly put together.

My favorite tracks include the pleasing melodies of “Wake,” and “Mermaid Song,” which are on the soft side. Harder tracks, such as “Flesh and Bone” are still full of life, passion, and show talent.
