Roger Waters - Ça Ira
- Roger Waters, co-founder of Pink Floyd releases the first edition of his classic opera, Ça Ira. Fans of Pink Floyd may be surprised by Waters creation. However, Pink Floyd was known for pushing the boundaries of rock, and often used operatic elements in their music. Ça Ira, is the result of a project which began in 1989, when Rogers began to work on the score for the opera written by Etienne Roda-Gil and his wife Nadine.
Ça Ira begins with the sound of the drums, the sound of a revolution. This opera tells the story of the French Revolution. The powerful vocals and music featured on this album emphasize the struggle and passion of the people.
