Vendetta Red - Sisters of the Red Death
- I never expected to an album about woman’s empowerment from a group of hardcore punk rockers. Yet, that’s the theme of Vendetta Red’s latest album, Sisters of the Red Death. According to the band, the album is the story of a woman, Gloria, who is born into the post-nuclear holocaust world. Gloria, the victim of rape and violence, decides to fight back with her fellow women, and forms the Sisters of the Red Death.
As you might guess, the album deals with issues of rape and violence against women. Therefore, Sisters of the Red Death is not for people who are uncomfortable hearing about them. Vendetta Red doesn't hold anything back with this album. The lyrics, the music, and Zach Davidson intense vocals bring the album’s story to life.
