Walter Trout - Deep Trout
- Walter Trout, a respected, but fairly unknown blues/rock musician, hopefully will gain more attention with his compilation album, Deep Trout. The album is a collection of his earlier work and showcases his skills a guitarist.
Musicians have been playing combinations of blues and rock for years. Walter Trout has succeeded in fusing these genres, and his efforts are evident on Deep Trout. Some tracks lean more towards the blues side such as the song of love’s torment, “Under My Skin.” Some, like “Kill The Monkey,” have a more rock ‘n’ roll in sound. The there are tracks that fall somewhere in the middle, such as “How Much Do You Want.”
