Brian Lane Green - Waiting for the Glaciers to Melt
- The Brian Lane Green promotional Website compares the Broadway actor’s songwriting debut to the lyrics of Jonathon Larson. However, Waiting for Glaciers to Melt is no Rent. This autobiographical album tells the story of Green’s All-American childhood. The tracks on this album are more cheesy than poignant. For example, the meant to be inspirational, “Grandma’s Song,” ends up being too corny.

Green’s vocal abilities are stronger than his writing abilities, but he still has potential. Waiting for Glaciers touches on important themes such as, the importance of family, and following your dreams. If Green can go deeper in his next album, he might prove to be a talented songwriter.
