Darden Smith - Field of Crows
- Darden Smith’s stripped-down style is reminiscent of a time when songwriters were the voice of the time. With all that is happening in the world right now, musicians can speak to us in a way that others can’t. On Field of Crows, Smith provides the social commentary for today.

Listeners will relate to Field of Crows themes of wanting to change things, but feeling hopeless. Tracks such as, “Golden Age,” reminds us of how much suffering there is in the world. However, the album is about more than despair. Darden Smith reminds us to appreciate the good things we have on songs such as, “Satisfied.”
