Wanderlust

By Gail Hoffer,

Progressive rock fans will be pleased with Little Atlas' latest album, Wanderlust. Each track presents an interesting arrangement of vocals, rhythm, and melody. The songs are characterized by creative instrumental sections; for example, the heavy guitar and flute used on "Higher," and the psychedelic opening on "On and On." Lead singer Steve Katsikas melodious voice enhances the album's provoking lyrics. His voice, which has a power and range uncommon amongst rock musicians, can be heard on "Mirror of Life."

While progressive rock fans will appreciate this album, Wanderlust may not appeal to everyone. The arrangements on this album might seem too weird for those not used to this kind of music. However, once they get past their preconceived notions of progressive rock, they may appreciate the album's uniqueness.
