Shaggy - Clothes Drop
- Many people have wondered what happened to reggae/pop star Shaggy. After “Mr.Boombastic” became a hit, Shaggy came back with the hit “It Wasn’t Me.” The fame did not last long, despite his reputation for being “Mr. Lover.” Shaggy is back with the new album Clothes Drop, featuring 17 reggae tracks. While the style is traditional for Shaggy, the lyrics remain narrow.

The name of the album is a good indicator of what you will hear on the CD. Shaggy, who still refers to himself as “Mr. Lover,” talks about how all the ladies want to have sex with him. He also talks about money and fame, which is ironic because his name has disappeared from the music industry for years. Shaggy is hoping for hit from his new album. The first song out is called, “Wild 2nite,” featuring Olivia from G-Unit, which was a good choice. This song is sounds like it would be played in a club. Olivia sings the chorus, “Now let me see you get wild tonight, Shake your body, let me hold on tight,” while Shaggy shows his talent for reggae with quick raps.
