Mercedes Sosa - Corazon Libre
- The rich voice of Mercedes Sosa can be heard in her new Latin album Corazon Libre. Sosa’s music is soft, yet edgy. The 16-track CD can be categorized as Latin/Folk because of the traditional Latin sounds accompanied with acoustic guitar. “Corazon Libre,” meaning “free heart” is the theme of the album. The talented Sosa started performing as a young girl, and you can hear her how her voice has grown as she as made over twenty major albums, starting in 1993. Sosa, who was born in Argentina, is not only a music icon in her country, but an advocate for democracy and human rights. Sosa’s new album, like everything else she has been involved in, comes straight from the heart.
