Toninho Horta-Nicola Stilo - Duets
- Toninho Horta and Nicola Stilo make a great Brazilain pair! Horta plays the guitar and is in control of the vocals, while Stilo accompanies him with the flute. The acoustic sounds of each song on the 10-track album, Duets, are relaxing, imitating the sounds of nature. Track 8, called “Vento,” meaning “wind,” is a favorite of mine because it mimics the pattern of wind, with the flute changing from high to higher while Horta hums in the background. The entire album shows the softer side of Brazilin music, while still incorporating some English lyrics. If you like flute, it’s an interesting CD to listen to.
