Ben Taylor - Another Run Around the Sun
- Ben Taylor's new release, Another Run Around the Sun, is an adequate album, in that it sounds clear, has good instrumentals and above average vocals. The album otherwise did not impress me. The one thing that does stand out is the mix of the old-school feel of James Taylor, with the more modern catchiness of John Mayer. Taylor’s voice, while original, is accompanied by very simple acoustics. His voice shines through the mellow music, but perhaps pop might do Taylor’s voice more justice. This 10-track album is relaxing, nothing to bop your head to, but nonetheless enjoyable.
