Billy Currington - Doin' Somethin' Right
- Fans who got nervous when Billy Currington performed a duet with country/pop sensation Shania Twain have nothing to fear, this musician started in country and that’s where he intends to stay. Billy’s new album, Doin’ Somethin’ Right is not just a country album, but a tribute to Southern music as well. From the opening country anthem, “I Wanna Be a Hilliby,” Billy proclaims his pride in his southern roots. Then there’s the moving country ballad, “She’s Got a Way with Me.” The Georgia native also incorporates southern blues on tracks like “Good Direction” and “Why Why Why.” Although there may be variations in melodies, the songs, like Billy, are all country at heart.
