Hanson - The Best of Hanson: Live and Electric
- When their song, “Mmm Bop” went big, Hanson was quickly categorized as yet another “teeny bopper” act. Their music was bubble gum sweet, and their audience was made up of teenage girls who had crushes on the three brothers. Since then, the boys have grown up, their music has matured, and those teenage girls are now adult fans. Hanson’s latest album The Best of Hanson: Live and Electric shows just how much the band has evolved from their earlier years. The opening track, “Optimistic,” has a hard rock edge and shows no evidence of the catchy pop melodies they’re known for. Tracks from their debut album Middle of Nowhere such as, “Where’s the Love” are more poppy, but have a more mature sound, thanks to Hanson’s growth as a band.
