Walk the Line Soundtrack

Well, who would have expected it... another musical movie and the lead actor can add singing to his resume. Joaquin Phoenix plays Johnny Cash in a biopic of the Country and Blues singer, during the time of his second marriage to June Carter. The soundtrack emphasizes the quality of Johnny Cash and his music, and the perfect renditions from Phoenix and his fellow cast.

The stand alone star is Reese Witherspoon who sings beautifully on "I Walk the Line" and "Jukebox Blues." I will admit I was surprised at Witherspoon's versatility and depth, but can offer a smile that it has been discovered on a captivating soundtrack and movie.

"Ring of Fire" sits alone as my personal favorite, with Phoenix's vocals tackling the classic chorus hook.Johnny Cash can rest assured his musical qualities have been fulfilled as his rise to stardom is portrayed on this classic soundtrack.
