Various - Greatest Songs Ever: Spain
- The Greatest Songs Ever: Spain is a funky compilation album of traditional and modern-inspired Spanish singles. It offers listeners a complex blend of Spanish culture.

As with any cultural album, some of the tracks from Spain may grate against the untrained American ear. However, at least half of the songs are a delight. Some such as Jose Soto's "Pozo de Deseo" serve delicious mood-altering soundscapes, while other tracks such as Lola Flores' "Echale Guindas a Pavo" offer rollicking journeys into Spanish soap opera.

The best tracks blend the acoustic guitar- and percussion-heavy Spanish traditions with more global influences. Bossa nova tinged tracks like "El Llanto de la Lluvia" make great background music for any dinner party.

A fun album that provides a great introduction to Spanish music, “The Greatest Songs Ever: Spain” is not a bad way to impress your friends and open your ears. The rhythms will have you toe-tapping in no time.
