- Bebel Gilberto, who helped popularize Brazilian dance music, proves on Bebel Gilberto Remixed that remixes can provide a new listening experience. Remixed by renowned producers, such as Thievery Corporation, Tom Middleton, Guy Sigsworth, DJ Spinna and Grant Nelson, the album is an excellent mix of Latin, dance and electronica. Tracks like "The Ceu Distante" and "All Around" are slower and softer; Gilberto's sultry voice adds a touch of sexiness to the song. On tracks like "Winter," her airy voice floats above the beat, taking the tracks from ordinary dance mixes to extraordinary compositions. As if one weren't enough, the album rewarda the listener with two versions of "Aganju," one a traditional Brazilian and the other with a hip hop edge.
