Various Artists - Invite Them Up
- Stand-up icons Eugene Mirman and Bobby Tisdale present “Invite Them Up” where emerging and well-known NY comediennes are invited to perform their best new material at a Lower East Side club in NY every Wednesday night.

This three-disk compilation also includes music performances by Craig Wedren originally from (Shudder to Think) now in the band “Baby”, “Marcellus Hall from the bands “Railroad Jerk” and “White Hassle” and Langhorne Slim.

Disk: 1 The Doilies (Zak Orth and Michael Showalter) is sexually explicate, so if you like your comedy with a slice of sex, than this act will suffice.

Disk: 2 Aziz Ansari had a few skits I enjoyed, but not about the box turtle (just not my thing) but he did have originality during his routines.

Disk: 3 Andy Blitz was my favorite, but didn’t find the humor in the Rosa Parks skit.

If you’re looking to hear some familiar NY comedians or learn about some new ones, give “Invite Them Up” a try. The three disks offer a lot of material, so it’s likely to hit, whack, tickle or ping a funny bone somewhere within the mix.
