Herbaliser - Fabriclive 26
- It reminds me of the old school Rap and London is getting on the map for its musical revolution, especially in the Rap/Hip-Hop genres. Most artists go through England trying to hit it big in the US. But London, England is spitting out its own artists and they are really making some noise. Not to mention that these artists are a mixture of races and ethnic groups. It reminds me of the old school Rap and Hip Hop I grew up with. There are real lyrics that have an artistic balance, along with the accents that add a special touch. There are some racy lyrics but in all, used appropriately. I especially use the remixed beats from the 80s and the 90s on some tracks. This is definitely not a CD for anyone under 17. The beats are danceable and my favorite track is 5, where the female reminds me of Monie Love, being she is from England. And it seems that the Herbalisers, Ollie Teeba and Jake Wheery have been doing their thang for some time now, since 1995. Well they have come along way and so has their style. Overall a good addition to the Hip Hop historical files
