Reyli Barba - En la Luna
- Harmonious. I may not speak Latin but I know love when I hear it. This CD speaks to the heart and is sweet. But it also rocks. It is Santana meet Prinze and some Ricky Martin in there. But you can sense the maturity and the generational influence. Reyli probably channels all of his musical influences while giving us the best and the brightest all in his own interpretation. If you haven't learned to salsa or Merengue, Son, and or Mambo, then go get those lessons, because you cannot stop from wanting to get up and shake your bom bom. It's energetic mood altering rhythm tic beats. A little reggae, ballads of course, and funky pop all rolled into one lyrical piece of good music. Reyli changes his tempo and gives you something to listen to. He is not the same in every song which is rather refreshing and comforting. You expect a Latin mix and you get a Latin mixture. He gives dance, soul, and Latin. Even if you do not speak the language it should not stop you from enjoying it.
