Gretchen Yanonver - Bow and Cello
- This CD is a very emotional piece of music. You feel sadness, happiness, joy, love, and peace in every set. Gretchen Yanover has been playing the Cello since she was 10 years old. And her life long experience with playing this instrument shows and bellows out perfection. She plays as if she sleeps with this instrument. It has surely become apart of her and her heart sits in the body amongst the strings and pegbox. This is Gretchen’s first solo release of beautiful personal compositions of which two were composed by the late Michael Cava. These pieces have been described as lyrically melodic wanderings over meditative ostinatos. Each track has its own personality and beauty. Gretchen's beautiful music is of what one hears while getting a massage and or while meditating.
