Ashley MacIsaac - Pride
- Though Ashley MacIsaac is best known for his fiddling, he throws down his bow in favor for a guitar in his new release, Pride. Pride blends guitar rifts with techno, dance music in a way different to each track. The lead track, Bitch, is the best on the album and is the catchiest. A short, anti-love song to a lover lost, Bitch is a great opener to an only alright album. The rhyming in many of his songs, including Love ‘em, seem to far fetched and unrealistic, almost as if the artist is trying too hard. Though album is listenable and at some points enjoyable, I have seen better from MacIsaac.
