Bonnie Bramlett - Roots, Blues, and Jazz
- Jazz with some country. That's how one would have to describe the sound and the soul on this CD and Bonnie's style. Bonnie is trying to create her own jazz style and she does do it with this CD. She is known for her country-blues and her jazz. Bramlett, has a very interesting and musical past. She also guest starred on the TV sitcom Roseanne for a season and was also apart of the hit duo with her husband Delaney Bramlett. Bramlett’s idols were like most, Aretha Franklin and she has the stylings of Rosemary Clooney and the vocals of Billie Holliday and a way of living a lyric and making it meaningful and orginial. She uses her instrument which is her voice and you hear no alterations and or flaws. She has a strong voice and you can feel the rhythm. She reminds me of Eartha Kitt in some of her songs. This CD is a great addition to anyones Jazz, Country, and R&B collection.
