Mylo - Destroy Rock'n'roll
- The skipping vocals will probably drive you insane after a few minutes, but what it lacks in guitar play, it makes up for with electronic keyboard sounds. This whole album sounds like someone wants to dance and have fun in a club. I guess the loyal UK listener will enjoy how the musical instruments were put together with mello classical sound to groove to. I've heard music like this in movies where there is a club scene and no one cares about what the artist says while they party. Selection #6 "Guilty of Love" starts out good but has strange low volume classical pick up before it gets back to a good uptempo sound. For those looking for a slow down to conserve energy, selection #13 "Need You Tonight" is pretty mello and heartfelt. The track I enjoyed most was #15 "Soft Rock". Even though my first impression was of a hard rock song, I still enjoyed the music and wanted to go to a club after hearing it. The only tracks that I could not "feel" was the title track "Destroy Rock 'N'Roll, #8 and #3. They way Mylo feels about other rock musicians is make very known on this song and it could offend based on the listener. "Muscle Cars", selection #3, I struggled figuring out what the sound or song had to do with the title. Overall, it starts off slow but after the first five tracks, you start to feel what the artist is getting across. Not bad if someone wants a change of pace from rock music and still wants to dance and get wild.
