The Ways We Try

Birdie Busch is a singer/songwriter who accomplishes the task of being different from the start. The Bar/None Records recording artist makes a very simple style of music that is personable but deceptively mysterious. They are songs that could grab your heart. The selections that struck me most was the title track #7 "The Way We Try", produced by Devin Greenwood. It is a lively mid-tempo musical flow with a careful vocal range and some subtle but lively piano keyboard music displayed. The last two tracks, #10 "Keys To The Car" that was a mid-tempo song by Birdie that shows she could get excited about family. She writes, "I feel young although my school days are gone".

On track #11 "Room in the City", also displays the cohesive and consistency in musical sound quality. It's like "warm apple pie eatin' in the kitchen" type of sound where you see someone ponder what life is offering. The reason someone may not pick up this album is that she is very careful not to do anything overdone. Someone could mistake careful for emotionless with a lack of vocal range and minimal musical excitement.

Overall, if you're looking for a simple and uncomplicated album and artist, try this..
