Good Clean Fun - Between Christian Rock and a Hard Place
- Well I cannot say that I understand what Good Clean Fun is trying to do or say and I will not say that I can relate to the whole title and lyrics, because I definitely do not get it. Is it a Christian band or an anti-Christian band? What in the world are they doing with the hardcore metal, harsh loud drums and syncs? It is loud and offensive if it does have religious undertones. If they are using the hardcore metal format to attract listeners and then to engage them in lyrics and a message that means something and enforces Christianity, then that is something all together different.
But I cannot get pass the loudness to even begin to understand. I mean for heavy metal its good musically, but I am desperately trying to figure it all out. I don’t like it and that’s what I am trying to say. The cover is rather harsh for the whole Last Supper reference. I don’t think the Last Supper should be used for anything other than the Last Supper. But as far as the group goes, it is composed of four Vegans from Washington, D.C. who are putting an emphasis on positive hardcore and controversy. I hope someone knows what positive Hardcore is, and will let me know.
