Deaf Pedestrians - Deaf Pedestrians
- I wish I was Deaf, upon listening to the screaming on songs such as Vampire Girl and others. But that is what you get from Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. I do think this CD is good. They have already found their audience; college students and alternative rockers who sit in their rooms wondering what life is all about. The band is great especially with those highly stylized forms of guitar playing and lead singer Chuck Parker morphs into the commercially driven maniac that is needed to penetrate the pockets of the masses.
This CD definitely is not for the not liberal individual and the explicitness should be monitored by parents. Like most rock bands who think they are doing something by changing the way people listen to music and what has been said, Deaf Pedestrians is no different. They think their music is making waves across America and getting through to the drones out there looking for an escape. And they probably are, but I cannot say I distinguish them any differently from the newbies out there and they definitely do not compare to the old school rockers, who really did change the face of Rock and Roll.
This is no attack on Deaf Pedestrians, but to all that think they are the messiahs of Rock. I am just saying I will wait upon the next release till I pass any further judgment.
